Artist/Lifestyle blogger. Realistic art with a dash of "I see it as!.." My art begins with a pencil sketch and ends with paint markers, but not always. If you love art this is the place to be! Take a look around.
Even Garfield hated Mondays. And so many artists have written songs about their general disdain for Mondays. Let’s be honest, we all dread Mondays and we’ve turned this day of the week into the villain in our life story.
Mondays are like Jeremy Jamm showing up to your lavish holiday party uninvited.

I’ve been sketching since I was a child. I can’t tell you enough that it’s one of my favourite ways to relax. Concentrating on an object and breathing life into it helps me relax. I draw things as I see them and find the process to be restorative. The best thing about sketching is that there is no right or wrong. It’s entirely up to the artist to decide whether or not changes need to be made. Yes, you can make suggestions but ultimately change is up to the artist. Here’s what sketching has taught me:

When you fed the dog your eggs.
When you saw snow for the first time.
When you cried because your rabbit died.
When you didn’t want to share.
When you were accepted into that school.
When you snuck out of the house to buy a Big Mac Combo and Mom cooked dinner and rather than confess you sat down and ate…again.
When you were scared on your first day at every school.
When you brought home the man of your dreams, got married and graduated I was there.

Awwww look at them, living dangerously and biting their ice-cream front teeth first. Aren’t they sweet? Anyway, I’m sure in some previous post I mentioned sensitive or achy teeth, Link here: T’was the Night Before 40 . I have a recurring dream where I smile in front of my bathroom mirror and some of my teeth very eagerly bounce into the sink. Continue reading “WHY’d I Think That Would go Well?”→
