Artist/Lifestyle blogger. Realistic art with a dash of "I see it as!.." My art begins with a pencil sketch and ends with paint markers, but not always. If you love art this is the place to be! Take a look around.
September has floated by. Its strange because I swear it just started but look at us now. I have some news for you all. Some of you may have noticed that my social media profiles have been updated. As part of that my news is that I will no longer be posting a weekly blog. I’m going to take a step back and post every other week instead. The reason for this change is that I need to focus on my art. I love writing too but my art is calling me and I have to answer. I’ll still be around though supporting my fellow bloggers so not to worry.
In the interest of putting my art first I will be doing more sketch or drawing posts. So you will notice more changes to the Palm Trees and Loyalties blog as 2020 comes to an end. I Hope that you all will stick with me in this new journey. If you have suggestions for things you’d like to see me draw let me know. Also, I have added a donate button at the bottom of my posts. You can now donate towards buying me art supplies. Or buy my art on Redbubble if you so choose.
I have an announcement to make! For the first time ever, I’ve uploaded a You Tube video of myself sketching a pepper. Check it out, like, share. If you’re more comfortable leaving comments on my blog rather than on my Channel that’s great too.
I’m excited to let you know that there will be more of these coming soon.

I draw things as I see them and find the process to be restorative. The best thing about sketching is that there is no right or wrong. It’s entirely up to the artist to decide whether or not changes need to be made. Yes, you can make suggestions but ultimately change is up to the artist. Here’s what sketching has taught me:
I had decided to draw for Sunday’s blog post long before my technical difficulties. But we all know how that went. Sorry to disappoint but, real things sometimes happen to old computers. And no matter how many times you try to force quit nothing happens. Staring at an ever-churning spinning rainbow can make any patient person antsy. Hence the holder post I sent last night. Now let’s follow through with what this post is all about!
I Went to a drive-in movie for the first time. What an experience! At first, I didn’t want to see Christopher Robin. But it ended up really speaking to me. The part that I can’t get out of my mind was when Winnie the Pooh asked Christopher Robin, “What day is it today?” and Christopher Robin responded… “It’s today.” And Pooh replied “my favorite day!” Continue reading “Happy Today!”→
