Artist/Lifestyle blogger. Realistic art with a dash of "I see it as!.." My art begins with a pencil sketch and ends with paint markers, but not always. If you love art this is the place to be! Take a look around.
Even Garfield hated Mondays. And so many artists have written songs about their general disdain for Mondays. Let’s be honest, we all dread Mondays and we’ve turned this day of the week into the villain in our life story.
Mondays are like Jeremy Jamm showing up to your lavish holiday party uninvited.
Or, accepting a zoom video meet and then realizing that you don’t have a camera on your computer or your cell.
I’ve been challenging myself to do more positive self talk lately. And as I was sketching this portrait of Mohammad Ali I was thinking about how he talked about himself. He was a prime example of how we should all talk about ourselves. Putting yourself out there and saying positive things about yourself might not be your thing but, negative self talk isn’t good for you.
Are you feeling what i’m feeling? Yes, this is a great time to do a reset and share a list of top 10 things I’m grateful for. There are far too many bad things going on in this world not to bring up some good right about now. This post is all about gratitude so if you’re feeling miserable I understand but hopefully this helps you as much as it helped me. Continue reading “Sharing Gratitude…My top 10 List”→
Hi, you landed here because of the title, don’t look away now! Guess who wrote their 100th blog post last week? I DID! I got the notification when I posted last week’s post. I still can’t believe it. Without sounding all 100th day of schoolish here we are at 100.
Never regret anything that made you smile – Mark Twain
Even if I feel silly about doing something or saying something if it makes me smile or laugh then it was worth it! That’s why I love this quote and why I write about my mishaps. By the way, if you need a little laugh right now read this. Sometimes my mishaps aren’t even funny at the time. Yet, while writing them or telling people about them I see the humor in them. for example, when I wrote this post I couldn’t help but laugh. Oh my, the things that frightened me as a child! Does anyone else sit around staring at their phone rather than doing the things they really enjoy? Or watching Netflix and focusing on what the characters say, do or live through? Often times thoughts and ideas pass through my mind without ever getting out. I don’t write, speak or draw anything for days on end. Its people watching to the extreme extent, very zombielike! Going back to work after vacation has always been a painful experience. No matter where I’ve worked. It’s relaxing being off and away from the daily grind. Life was sweet! you ate what you wanted when you wanted. You got some rest and did whatever you wanted to do.
What-ifs can stop you from trying new things. They are a weighted blanket lulling you to sleep in your comfort zone while the world keeps moving on without you! What’s the worst thing what-ifs have done to me? They’ve kept me in places I don’t want to be, in friendships, that needed to end. They kept me stagnant, stuck, and weary. If any of you follow me on Twitter or Instagram you know that I like to post inspirational quotes. I’m sharing 2 of my favourites today. It’s hard to be yourself when everyone always tells you to be someone else. Why is it that when a person is quiet people tend to shame them. What is with shaming the introverts? It irks me every time I see that neighbour of the suspect on the news… “Honestly she never really talked to anyone.” Pause for effect, wait for it….”wasn’t very friendly at all!” There it is!
As I was scrolling through Pinterest which I tend to do while not watching sports you wouldn’t believe what I came across. The word Flawsome and its description. For those of you that haven’t heard of it hear you go: Continue reading “The Truth about Flaws”→
