Hi all, on Wednesday June the 17th at 4:30pm there will be a Peel March for Justice. This peaceful march will start at 7755 Hurontario Street A. (Grenville & William Courthouse) and continue to 5650 Hurontario Street (Peel District School Board). The March for Justice raises awareness for the issue of systemic anti black racism seen within the Peel District School Board. There will be multiple ASL interpreters present to accommodate all individuals attending. The Peel March for Justice welcomes the deaf and Hard of hearing community members to join in on the march for justice.
Here’s a link to the GoFundMe page for those who can’t attend.
The money raised goes towards:
- Paying the lawyers of young black children who have run into trouble with the law.
- Hiring tutors for young black children.
- Any extra money goes towards supporting the families of children who have been killed due to police brutality. Along with other black outreach organizations.
Please do what you can to support the cause.
Thank you and stay safe!
